Outstanding Experience We recently visited Gusto Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar in Austin to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. We made a reservation about a week in advance and were pleasantly surprised to be seated in a private booth with curtains, complete with a thoughtful “Happy Birthday” sign. As an extra special touch, they even brought my daughter a complimentary glass of prosecco before we ordered—a detail that truly set the tone for the evening. The food was excellent across the board. For appetizers, we had calamari and brussels sprouts. The calamari was among the best I’ve had—perfectly crispy and well-seasoned. The brussels sprouts were flavorful, though slightly overcooked, but still delicious. For entrees, we ordered the alla crema pasta, speck and pear pizza, and spinach lasagna with Bolognese. Each dish was outstanding, with rich flavors and high-quality ingredients. Service was top-notch—attentive, friendly, and professional. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and having the private booth made the experience even more enjoyable. The only minor downside was the parking situation, which is always a challenge around Austin restaurants, but the food and service more than made up for it. Our total bill was around 250—pricey, but well worth it for the quality of the experience. Overall, Gusto Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar exceeded our expectations, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great Italian dining experience in Austin. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful lunch with family. The wait staff was very attentive but not pushy. They were able to answer all questions about the menu, service was quick and everyone was perfectly friendly. Drinks were quick and very good. Then the food....AMAZING! Portions were generous but not overly so. Highly Recommended!

There isn't anything bad to say about this place. Excellent good. Great service. We had a large table that was complicated with separate checks. They easily managed all our crazy and made our evening very nice. I've been there at sat at the bar vs a table, equally as nice. Highly recommend the broccolini!

Gusto Italian gave me and my wife an incredible experience on our 1st year anniversary dinner. They made a little sign for our table congratulating us on our anniversary and offered us a couple wine tasting glasses. We sat at the patio outside and it was a great vibe and atmosphere. Although there were some bugs, our waitress brought a little fan to keep them away. Our waitress was also excellent and continually checked in on us. The food was amazing, even my picky (sorry, honey) Vietnamese wife loved the taste! At the end, they brought us some complementary glasses of a celebratory sparkling drink to enjoy with our dessert. All in all, we had an amazing time here and would love to come back next time we are in Austin!

My local theatre group of 8 attended a matinee play yesterday. It was my turn to make drinks/food arrangements for afterwards. From making the reservation to walking out the door it was a most outstanding experience. Fantastic service! Wonderful food and drink! Everyone in the group voicing high praise about the experience. We have been to many ATX quality establishments before or after the theatre - this one is now at the top of our list.
